At The Exchange, we believe church is meant to be more than a Sunday gathering — it's a family that walks through life together, in the good seasons and the hard ones. Congregational Care is how we live that out practically, making sure that when someone in our church family needs help, or is able to give it, there's a place to connect.
We Were Never Meant to Do Life Alone
Life brings seasons of joy and seasons of struggle — and none of us are meant to walk through either alone. At Exchange, Congregational Care exists to make sure that when someone in our church family is hurting, struggling, or in need, they don't have to face it by themselves.
Why Congregational Care Matters
The early church modeled something powerful: a community that shared what they had, carried each other's burdens, and made sure no one was left to struggle in silence (Acts 2:44-45, Galatians 6:2). That's the heartbeat behind Congregational Care — it's not a program, it's who we're called to be as a church family. As Romans 12:13 reminds us, we're called to "share with the Lord's people who are in need."
Common Unity: How We Care for One Another
Community, at its core, is common unity — people united around Jesus, doing life together, and showing up for one another in practical ways. That might look like:
-
A meal during a hard week
-
A ride to an appointment
-
Help with yard work or a house project
-
A listening ear and a cup of coffee
-
Childcare during appointments
-
Prayer and encouragement through grief, loss, or a hard season — financial difficulty, illness, or job loss
-
Or other odd jobs and random acts of kindness
None of it requires a grand gesture — just people willing to show up.

NEED HELP?
If you or your family are walking through a hard season, please don't walk through it alone. Reaching out isn't a sign of weakness; it's what community is for. Whatever it is you need — practical support, prayer, or just someone to talk to — reach out

WANT TO HELP?
Just as much as we want to care for those in need, we want to create space for those who are able to give. Whether it's your time, a skill, a meal, or a listening ear, there's a place for you to serve. Let us know how you'd like to help, and we'll connect you with a need that fits.
