MISSIONS
At Exchange Church, we believe the Great Commission isn't optional — it's the heartbeat of who we are. As a congregation within the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, we are shaped by a deep commitment to reaching the unreached, making disciples, and seeing the Church established among every people and nation.
We are privileged to partner directly with workers and ministries on the front lines of that mission. The people listed here aren't just names on a page — they are men and women we pray for, invest in, and stand behind as they carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
THEBUSTINS
Rob and Kara live in Ethiopia, where they have been working with a mother-tongue New Testament translation project. They have three girls, Madelyn, Charlotte, and Tessa.
Rob is now the program’s director for the Bible translation, translation advising and consulting, Scripture engagement, and digital media work conducted by SIL, one of Wycliffe’s key field partners, in Ethiopia.
Kara is involved with Madelyn’s school and other ministries in Addis Ababa. Rob and Kara have been members of Wycliffe Canada since 2012.
SCOTTGRUBBE
Scott has been a Jesus follower since 2000 and a hip hop culture enthusiast since 1993. Hip hop — with its 50-year history of rapping, DJing, breakdancing, and graffiti art — draws participants from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. In that world, people's relationship with Jesus typically falls into one of three categories: little to no exposure, misconceptions about who He is, or Christians who feel they don't fit in traditional church culture. Scott is responding to God's call by ministering within hip hop culture in Calgary and across Canada, using his 30+ years of DJing to connect authentically, share the Gospel, and create culturally relevant spaces for discipleship — including Bible studies and Christian hip hop events.
GLOBALADVANCEFUND
The Global Advance Fund (GAF) supports the greater Alliance ministries, workers, and all our collective efforts to share the Gospel with people who haven’t heard the name of Jesus. Your continued generosity equips and sustains our workers and their ministry to multiply disciples everywhere.
Each year, The Exchange Church financially supports GAF as part of our commitment to global missions. By contributing to GAF, we join with Alliance churches across Canada to help bring the hope of Jesus to communities with little or no access to the gospel.
